Despite his impressive record, Wu Jingui struggled with injuries throughout his playing career and had to retire from professional football in 2016. However, he continued to play for the China U23 team until 2018 before retiring for good.

On Saturday, Wu Jingui was welcomed back by the fans with a standing ovation as he took to the pitch. Despite being out of action for two years, the striker looked sharp and showed no signs of rustiness.

He scored a goal in the first half and continued to dominate the game, showing that he still has what it takes to perform at the highest level. His return to Shanghai Shenhua has been eagerly anticipated by the fans, who were delighted to see their hero back on the pitch.

In conclusion, Wu Jingui's return to Shanghai Shenhua is a huge boost for the club and the fans. It's clear that the 44-year-old forward still has plenty left in the tank and will be a valuable asset to the team going forward. With his experience and skill, he could help the club achieve success once again.
