Rodrigo De Paul, Defending a Defeat at Atletico Madrid.
Rodrigo de Paul scored the winner for Paris Saint-Germain in their 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in their Champions League last 16 match on Tuesday night.
The Argentine forward was on target from the penalty spot after being fouled by Diego Godin in the box, with Neymar also getting on the scoresheet before the break to give PSG the lead.
However, Atletico were level just before half-time through a goal from Joao Felix, but they could not find an equaliser as PSG held on for victory.
De Paul has been one of the standout performers for PSG this season and his goal will be welcomed by fans back home in Argentina, who have seen him become a key player for the club.
It is clear that he is improving game-by-game and his performances have been crucial in helping PSG reach the next round of the Champions League.
With the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe already in the squad, it looks like PSG are well placed to challenge for the title once again this season.
Overall, it was a good result for PSG against Atletico Madrid and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the rest of the group stage fixtures.
